Math and business always seemed to spark Sarah’s interest, and in college she decided the financial industry would best suit these passions. Following graduation, Sarah was looking for a challenging job where she could put her finance acumen to work. After interviewing with a number of financial and consulting firms, Sarah decided to accept the financial analyst position with Prudential Capital Group.
She chose Prudential Capital because the investment professionals she spoke with during the interview process were really knowledgeable, had a lot of experience to share, and made her feel at ease. She could tell she would learn a lot from them. Not only has Sarah confirmed her hunch in learning from her colleagues, she further summarizes her favorite areas of the job as getting to learn about a variety of industries and companies, the high level of responsibility given, developing her professional skills, and interacting with her colleagues – professionally and socially.

"The quality of and interaction with the people in my office and throughout Prudential Capital Group has strengthened my experience in my job. Being around people with extensive knowledge and different backgrounds is incredibly valuable to me. One of my favorite parts of the job actually surprised me – I’m not just analyzing numbers, but extracting the story the numbers are trying to tell us. I find translating the analytical story and research into pricing memos and other write-ups to be a challenging task which has also helped me improve my

 communication skills."
"Another thing that surprised me about the job is the level of responsibility you get right out of the gate, such as interacting directly with clients and working on high level transactions. I think in terms of the level of challenge and variety, my expectations have been met. It’s not just about building financial models, I really feel as though I’m an integral part of the team and making real contributions in all of our transactions." |
